DeAnna was one of two Analysts when I began working at Novogradac. During the time I worked with DeAnna, she effectively mentored my peer, and was promoted to Senior Analyst. DeAnna starts her days early and takes a proactive approach to her working style. This trait was exemplified in the time management and budgeting spreadsheet that she developed and shared with colleagues. DeAnna is committed to becoming a licensed appraiser and has completed a significant portion of her training. Overall, I believe DeAnna's reasoning skills and willingness to devote time to improve organizational efficiency make her a valuable asset in a team environment.

I worked with DeAnna for about three years. I came on as a Junior Analyst and worked under her on several engagements. DeAnna was a willing, thoughtful mentor, never shying away from answering questions and making sure to explain the "why" behind any constructive feedback. Despite management not typically being in an Analyst's job description, her management skills shined in working with me to delegate work while keeping the needs of the larger team and my capacity/ability in mind. In that regard, she absolutely went above and beyond, striking a balance that can be elusive. After I was promoted into a more independent role and took on more complex work, DeAnna was still happy to answer my questions or exchange ideas despite our roles being fairly individualized. In particular, I have to give her a lot of credit for helping become more efficient. As anyone in the field knows, it can be extremely difficult to balance deadlines, quality of work, and budget on appraisal engagements. It's not uncommon that you're behind the 8-ball from the start with one of those three categories. As evidenced by her promotion to Senior Analyst, DeAnna exhibited high level strategic ability by consistently adhering to budgets and deadlines while still producing high-quality client deliverables that served as a reference point for myself and others. I can say with utmost certainty that my growth over the past three years was significantly accelerated by working closely with DeAnna. She wasn't simply a strong performer, she made the people around her better, which is the kind of person you want on your team and as a leader.
