As a student medical assistant, I rotated throughout the practice to gain a full experience of how a medical practice is ran and how each role plays into the broader picture. I also rotated through five physicians in the practice and roomed patients for them for a week at a time. Taking vitals included height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, SpO2, and in smaller children length and head circumference. Took an active role in performing EKG as part of pre-op protocols. Completed any documentation into patient files via EPIC as required and ensured its accuracy in its entirety. Show less
