As an innovation technology business owner, I have huge plans on where I see my business going and what it plans on creating. a key element to this is developing relationships within education in order to gain access to talent through college and university programmes. I met Dean as he guided our business from concept to reality where we met up with several students looking for discertation work. Dean was instrumental in being able to translate my vision into a concept that would qualify to a high enough standard wirhin the cirriculum in order for us to work with the students. whilst my dealings with Dean at the blackpool and fylde college was relitivley short, I can assure anyone that Dean is hard working, dedicated and displayed a true ability to care for each of the students he was working with. he has the ability to understand complex programming concepts and finds simple ways to describe them putting the room at ease. I only wish that we were in a position as a business to take Dean on. he will make a valued employee for any business working on multiple projects. we wish Dean the best of luck in his career choices. please keep in touch Dean.

Dean helped me through a difficult time while I was in his class. Dean went above and beyond and got me through the course. He was not only a teacher, but a good friend. I always look back, smile and renember Dean's commitment to his students, his humour, and compassion.

This part-time role involved looking after Labs for first year students in Games Concepts and C++ modules. In this role, I supported Games Concepts students in completion of lab worksheets and assisted in debugging and working through problems such as collision detection. In working here I gained some excellent insight into different working practices which aided in enhancing my own practice with cleaner code and more structured approaches to state machines and other key structures. The students worked with C++ / Direct X 9 using UCLAN's own custom T+L Engine to introduce students to the concepts. Show less
