Dean has been the Executive Director for the ASPB for the past three years and I have continued to be amazed by his personal drive, high standards and ethics. He strives to meet our organizations regulatory and legislative duties while being mindful of the registrants to whom it regulates. He continues to engage with government to ensure the organization is at the forefront of discussions with the Ministry of Labour and other regulators. In his spare time, he is working collaboratively with the Ministry of Labour and other organizations to create protocols for Professional Service Continuity Planning. He is involved and committed every day, keeping informed, informing, moving the profession forward, and is always grateful to those he works with.

It is my honour to have worked with Dean as a volunteer for the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists where Dean is the current Executive Director. I was a volunteer previous to Dean joining the ASPB and I have directly expirienced the numerous positive results of his leadership over the organization. During his relatively short time in the role he has effected a renewed focus, increased clarity of direction, and an inspiring sense of purpose into the organization. Having worked closely with Dean on the ASPB registration committee I ardently endorse his leadership. His primary strengths as a leader include his passion, humility, and cogency. He is a tireless leader who sets the example and follows-through. I am sure he will be an asset to any endeavour toward which he lends his effort. Jeremy Reid
