I am a certified Grief Recovery Specialist, through the Grief Recovery Institute. Under the tutelage of Barbara Nasco at Americare Hospice.   I worked with families and children with special needs under DES, maintain their programs in an after school care facility. I also connected children with behavior disorders with the right staff; writing behavior programs that were approved by the department to help the children to develop particular skills and decrease their behaviors.I worded closely with the director to trained new staff and I was in charge of bringing in new client to the program and getting them registered.   I was over managers and staff at the group home level for training and maintain the homes to keep them up to code per DDD regulations. The group home held up to four clients of different ages with behavior disorders and aggressive natures. I handles home inspection monitoring books and appointment to make sure they were done. I was on call for 24 hour emergencies. I wrote behavior program to be approves by Program Review Committee; and trained staff to run them and document their use.
