Served 27 years in the Army Reserve and retired in April 2013 as an E-8/Master Sergeant. I served 7 years as First Sergeant of A-1-398-2-100th and 95th Divisions located in Owensboro, KY. My last assignment was Senior Operations Sergeant of a Senior ROTC Battalion located at Fort Knox, KY. I served as a Drill Sergeant in a BCT Unit and as an M1A1 Tank Commander. Graduated from the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy in November 2010. Served 27 years in the Army Reserve and retired in April 2013 as an E-8/Master Sergeant. Sergeant Street Crimes Unit

In 1996 is was given the task of developing unit devoted to community policing operations. I developed a bicyle patrol and expanded neighborhood foot patrols.We held neighborhood meetings, conducted neighborhood surveys and coordinated for city services to improve quality of life issues such as sanitation pick ups, traffic issues, and other infrastructure and maintenance issues. Our unit also concentrated on street level drug dealers, loud music, alcohol issues and other street level crimes that negatively effect quality of life within a neighborhood. Show less

Crime prevention sergeant

I worked in the school systems for 1 year as "Officer Friendly." I instructed children in grades K-4 in safety issues and developed a gun safety curriculum for children.

Patrol Officer

I worked as a patrol officer for 7 years. As a patrol officer I worked traffic accidents, took criminal reports, answered calls for service and conducted basic investigations. I issued traffic citations, executed search warrants, made arrests, and testified in state and federal court.
