  I followed up with residents in the Village/Sainte-Marie area of Montreal, QC who had not completed their 2021 Census. The position involved me speaking to people face-to-face which improved my communication skills, confidence, and overall patience. I had to use critical thinking skills and planning to increase my chances of contact with residents. There were no scheduled shifts so I was able to choose my own hours. This required discipline, time management, and self-motivation. Many of the residents did not speak English and as a result, I was able to utilize and broaden the French language knowledge that I had previously gained through schooling. Show less
