Dawson has been a great addition to our team during his internship. Interns at our magazine receive a wide range of writing assignments, and Dawson has completed his successfully every time. He is pleasant to work with, detail-oriented, and knows how to ask the right questions. We expect to see great things from him in his career.

Throughout the spring of 2022, I had the great pleasure of serving as Dawson's site director throughout his internship for the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild, which I serve as executive director. Dawson wrote various article for our website and newsletter subscribers, including a piece on a local movie director, an interview with a fellow intern, a personal piece on the power of journaling, two interviews with local literary magazine editors, and a preview of a poetry event called "Verse in the Valley." Additionally, Dawson also attended our events when his schedule allowed and provided some administrative support for our summer writers' retreat. A spirited, enthusiastic intern who was motivated to pitch ideas, received feedback, and always give his best.

Coordinating interviews and drafting articles based on writers/writing events local to the Chippewa Valley; promoting Guild-sponsored events when opportunities arise As the first professional experience I've acquired in my field, this was a wonderful way of practicing autonomy and communication on the professional level; in addition, the Guild introduced me to a network of fellow writers in the Chippewa Valley and beyond, who I can rely on and cooperate with in the future Coordinating interviews and drafting articles based on writers/writing events local to the Chippewa Valley; promoting Guild-sponsored events when opportunities arise As the first professional experience I've acquired in my field, this was a wonderful way of practicing autonomy and communication on the professional level; in addition, the Guild introduced me to a network of fellow writers in the Chippewa Valley and beyond, who I can rely on and cooperate with in the future
