At Newburgh Prep, which served at risk students and previous dropouts, I provided an educational alternative for students in Hudson Valley area who wanted to earn a NYS Regents Diploma in a non-traditional environment. Because of the small class sizes, and as the only Social Studies teacher in the building (responsible for teaching Global 9, Global 10, US History, Participation in Government and Economics); each student was able to have an individualized educational program.
