I began my career at the NYPD as a Domestic Violence Prevention Officer and in this role I organized information sessions in domestic violence shelters for crime victims. I referred such victims to appropriate resources including counseling, shelter placement and victim advocacy agencies. I investigated and apprehended suspects wanted for domestic violence, sex crimes and violation of court orders, and I collaborated with both the Victims Assistance Unit and Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
