  I currently serve as the 2023-2024 ADHA Institute for Oral Health (IOH) Foundation Board of Directors Chair, and served previously as an ADHA IOH Foundation Board Director from 2020-2023, in my roles as 2020-2021 ADHA Vice President, 2021-2022 ADHA President-Elect, and 2022-2023 ADHA President. The Institute for Oral Health Foundation is thADHA’s philanthropic arm and provides scholarships, research grants and community service grants annually.

  From 2006-2016, I served the West Virginia Dental Hygienists' Association(WVDHA) as an Executive Board Member holding innumerable leadership titles: Past President, Immediate Past-President, President, Vice President, Delegation Chair(2007-2016)WVDHA/ADHA Institute for Oral Health Liaison, WVDHA Legislative Committee Member, WVDHA Website Development Chair, & ADHA Council on Public Relations (2013-2015/Member & 2015-2016/Chair). In June 2015, I served as the ADHA House of Delegates Installation Officer. It was an honor to present the 2015 ADHA Presidential Keynote Introduction for Jill Rethman, RDH, BA, 93rd ADHA President. As the first, ADHA HOD Reference Committee Coach via an ADHA Presidential Appointment, I created an instructional PowerPoint for that inaugural annual process. Jean Majeski, ADHA ACCESS Magazine Managing Editor published my Guest Editorial, Upward: 10 Steps to Launch Your RDH Career, featured in the August 2015 edition. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, licensed in WV, I have worked in clinical, private practice with a passion for Periodontal Disease Management and as a Clinical Dental Hygiene Instructor at West Liberty University Department of Dental Hygiene(Aug. 2004-Dec. 2008)sharing my "WLU Golden Scaler Award Winning" clinical instrumentation skills. My former Assistant & Head Coaching roles for the Central Catholic High School Cross Country Team (2011 - 2013) enabled me to advocate for faith & fitness mentoring student-athletes to lead rewarding lives through teamwork, discipline, & commitment. At OVMC CentreTown Fitness, I served the Wheeling community for 14-years (2001-2015) through a multi-disciplinary approach to wellness via SportsYoga, Indoor Cycling, & BootCamp fitness classes.   Following my success in the 1987 Crystal Light National Aerobic Championship in Monroeville, PA, as the North Central Regional Gold Medalist in the Female Individual Category, the Top-10 USA National Finalists Female Individual in the 1988 Crystal Light National Aerobic Championship in Nashville, TN, as televised on ESPN, and the 1989 Bronze Medalist in the Female Individual North East Regional Reebok National Aerobic Championship, WDTV Channel 5 in Clarksburg, WV, established a televised fitness show "Wake Up With Dawn" which aired weekly at 6 am in West Virginia. My role involved weekly pre-recordings of five fitness shows and creating choreographed segments with community guests joining the cast to engage home viewers to seek lives of wellness. Show less
