  Actively monitors and enforces City ordinances and state laws regarding solid waste, trash, litter and other debris within all public rights of way, parks and property; reviews and issues sidewalk occupancy permits; and assists in sidewalk snow removal enforcement. The position’s efforts are directed towards preserving and improving the health, safety welfare and quality of life of the population of the City. Issues summons and assists with court proceedings for unlawful violations of State and City laws and ordinances, including those applicable to 1) trash, debris and 2) other laws governing activities within the right of way. This includes daily and accurate data and document compilation and providing testimony in court, when needed, to ensure compliance.Serves as liaison with property owners/managers, landlords and tenants, and the public regarding all orientation/workshops (at neighborhood meetings, schools, fairs, etc.) informing them of the City’s trash disposal requirements, rules and regulations relating to proper trash disposal.
