  I helped out at Pro Arts Gallery during the lead up to their 42nd annual East Bay Open Studios event. During my time there I managed posting to and creating original content for their various social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as fielding public inquiries through various email addresses. I also acted as a support person reporting to the Executive director and handled such tasks as conducting written and video interviews of artists participating in open studios for promotional pieces, designed tote bags for sale at the gallery, and helped with customer service issues relating to open studios and gallery membership.   During my time at Artist & Craftsman Supply I progressed from the position of store clerk to assistant manager. My job duties include but are not limited to managing a staff of between 5-6 employees in an 8,000 square foot retail space, conducting interviews, hiring, firing and staff training, acting as primary buyer for that location, acting as a representative of the company at trade shows and industry events, participating in community outreach events and providing technical support for customer art materials inquiries, opening and closing the shop and communicating with corporate headquarters on a daily basis.
