I am working as a DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect / Site Reliability Engineer and Infrastructure team leader in Skip Pay.For the past few years we have been building an automated cloud platform based on AWS with strong focus on reliability and security to replace an on-premise solution. All Skip Pay services are now running in cloud and we are now further handling the company's growth and requirements that arise from the new features in development and also by external entities as CNB and KBC.My responsibility when I joined the project was to plan the transition from an on-premise infrastructure to a rearchitected cloud solution, handle the migration of data and services, create costs estimates and execute all of that together with my coworkers across all tech teams. After successful migration we continue to improve the platform by implementing more suitable database solutions, enabling the app to benefit from autoscaling, creating automated delivery pipelines, integrating with 3rd party services on both application and network levels, implementing monitoring solution based on Datadog, introducing new tools to enable faster and more secure development etc.I am also in charge of the Infrastructure team, therefore I am preparing quarterly work plans, evaluating our team's success and reporting it to our CTO, organizing internal trainings, certifications and conference trips across the company and handling external audits that we regularly undergo due to the nature of the product.https://skippay.cz Show less
