I have no hesitation in saying that without Dave’s help I would not have a business today, a frightening shame considering my mission of changing the life outcomes of children and adults who struggle to read and learn. My association with David commenced upon my joining the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard QF 4 and being assigned to David's Boat Crew. David was largely responsible for my training over a long period of time and based on my professional experience as an Airline Training and Assessment Pilot it was very evident that David was an extremely gifted trainer having a very good depth of knowledge of all subject matter, particularly technical, whilst having the presence to provide delivery in practical and to the point manner enabling the attainment of learning outcomes in an easy and timely manner. He also displayed strong people skills in managing his styles and presentation skills to accommodate new members from various backgrounds and widely different knowledge bases and general abilities. David displays strong leadership skills ranging from gentle mentoring to strong direction appropriate to the situation at the time. He has been seen to go above and beyond to provide guidance to individuals to make them feel comfortable and achieve well above their expectations. More recently I attended a Leadership Course presented by David. Having attended a number of similar presentations (more than Twelve) over the years it is without doubt that I David's product towered above the previous in delivery, content and perceived outcomes. Other members, from various professions, who undertook or have since undertaken this course have strongly expressed similar sentiments. Following my obtaining a Coast Guard Flotilla Commander position David, without prompt or request, has provided strong guidance and support with various management regimes during the settling in period.
