As a Language Coach I teach Dutch to (international) students at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Next to teaching I was also responsible for the teaching material.

ELS organizes language courses for students at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During my tenure as President of ELS, ELS provided languages courses in thirteen languages at three different levels. The courses are taught by student coaches that are native speakers in their languages. A big part of the interactive learning experience is reserved for the cultural aspect of the language. As President, besides the responsibilities as Educational Officer of the board, I oversaw the expansion of the organization and directed this growth in the right direction. This encompassed also the contact with university officials responsible for ELS.

Chief Educational Officer

The Educational Officer at ELS is responsible for the student coaches and the quality of the teaching material of 13 languages. This responsibility includes but is not limited to the selection of new coaches, organizing coach training sessions and team building events, guidance of coaches with the creation and revision of teaching material, presiding coach meetings, and providing curricular and teaching guidance to a multinational team consisting of 30+ coaches.
