Responsible for all aspects of the management and development of the landscape at Heathrow Airport. Directly responsible for Airfield Habitat Management at Heathrow Airport. Fully involved in tenders for GM, interior landscapes and pest control. • Directed the coherent design of Heathrow Airport’s iconic main entrance.• Oversaw the design of Terminal 5 landscape. • Particularly successful in delivering Community related projects including opening up BAA land for community use for the first time. • Set up Causeway Nature Reserve (CNR) and 5 other biodiversity sites. Deputy Grounds Superintendent

As a Chargehand I was responsible for the Supervision and Deployment of 4 Gardeners. We were a mobile gang with a fully equipped Crewbus dealing with reactive maintenance issues including complaints, emergencies and general grounds maintenance work. The work involved time spent working at Gatehead International Stadium as well as in schools, recreation grounds, housing areas and open green spaces carrying out reinstating, weed control, landscaping, bedding out and interior landscape displays.

I spent one year at the Oxford Botanic Garden as part of my Diploma Course. I worked on the external order beds and formal lawns at the garden as well as spending a lot of time under glass caring for the large collection of temperate and tropical plants. This included the propagation of a wide range of interior and exterior plants. As part of the training scheme I also worked at the Harcourt Arboretum in Nuneham Courtenay.
