A coalescence of factors is altering the political, social and environment landscape within which LWB operates. Driving factors include, but are not limited to: - transition by government to new funding models that include commissioning of services and consumer directed funding which drives changing expectations; - increased growth opportunities in existing markets; - increased competition, including entry of for-profit organisations, driving increased competition in the labour market for direct support workforce; - downward pressure on overhead costs from funders; - advancing customer expectations led by the use of technologies (i.e. mobility, self-service); and - increased community and media attention on not-for-profits. These factors require fundamental changes in thinking and approach to our ways of working to: - transform the client customer experience to promote achievement of outcomes; - greater investment in our people through a learning culture to support them in their client relationships; - respond to the competitive pricing and market pressures, particular on administrative overheads; and embrace technological innovation to enable new models of care and uplift customers’ experience. In recognition of these external drivers and influences, LWB has made a conscious choice to prepare and invest for tomorrow to enable us to partner with our clients/customers to better serve them. The transforming of LWB from good to great ensures we continue to positively support our clients in our communities.
