I've had various duties while working at MERS. Leadership cited my ability to be flexible in what I could do to be a major asset to the organization. I am responsible for the over-all configuration management of our infrastructure and application portfolio, including managing the change to the environment. This includes the assistance of building and maintaining of the organizational Service-Level Agreement (SLA), Technology Roadmap and MERS IT Service Catalog. I created a configuration management database to track and communicate dependencies of systems and how changes would affect the environment. We also created deployment processes that controlled the changes to the production environment. I managed our Change Advisory Board in accordance with ITIL standards and helped ensure that the organization followed rigorous standards for communicating changes to our environment. I was tasked with managing the portfolio of 35+ company-wide projects and the assigned resources. While managing the project portfolio for the organization, I was tasked with managing and reporting on staff over-allocations, resource mitigations, schedule analysis, and project priorities. I ensured the quality of the Plan by managing resource over-allocations and mitigating with other business units to ensure project success. Since March of 2009, I’ve been working with the MERS IT department in developing software systems that serve the needs of their pension clients. I was hired in the role of Sr. Software Developer and Database Administrator where I was responsible for the overall vision of software development practices, lifecycle design and enforcement, design and best coding practices. Also, it was my responsibility to document, determine, design and administer the terabytes of information that MERS stores and uses on a daily basis.
