The activity aims to study and to develop a centralized control for a AC current distribution microgrid, that operates in islanded mode. The control is applied by means of voltage controlled power inverters that interface the energy generation plants and the storage systems. The main objective of the control is to restore the nodal voltages and the frequency to their nominal values after an event on the microgrid. The internship is finalized to develop through simulation tools the centralized controller for the RSE microgrid and to experimentally validate the obtained results. I learnt how to model a low-voltage microgrid, operating in islanded mode, in Simulink environment. I also learnt how to design and implement a centralized microgrid controller, which takes into account the different relations between the electric variables of the microgrid. Show less

Learned how semi-automated assembly line works, especially regarding the different criteria according to which an assembly line is organized. By working in a team, I learned how to redesign a manually assembled product, in order to make it suitable to be assemble in a semi-automatic assembly line.
