Buxton Accounting LLP is an Accountancy practice with offices in Northwich and Wigan. We provide a wide range of accountancy, taxation and business advice services, specialising in family and owner managed businesses. My team and I work hard to become trusted advisers rather than accepting a role as the people who call once every twelve months as year-end approaches. We’ll always look at the bigger picture, and suggest new ideas where we think a fresh approach will benefit the client’s business.

I did my chartered training contract with a small firm of Chartered Accountants in East Manchester. I was given a wide variety of clients to work with and enjoyed a great deal of responsibility throughout my training. I discovered early on that being an effective business advisor depended on listening to what clients had to say about their businesses and their goals. I passed all my exams first time, with a top ten national placing in the company law exam.

As a commercial management trainee based in the Chester branch of M&S, I quickly realised that retail wasn’t for me. My time here was nevertheless very valuable because it gave me sales experience, commercial awareness and an understanding of the importance of customer focus. This adds depth to the advice I’m now able to give as an accountant.
