Responsible for managing annual Sport England investment British Equestrian to grow participation in equestrian sport, working in partnership with the federation's member bodies, offering support, advice and challenge to help them to achieve their project targets. Secured £150k of "Tackling Inequalities" funding and designed and managed a small grants scheme to distribute the funding to equestrian centres delivering large volumes of disability riding opportunities who were facing hardship as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.Worked with member bodies to write and implement “Return To Play” guidance for equestrian sport, making submissions to both the UK government and devolved home nation administrations for sign off and managing the implementation of guidance across the federation. Developed an Equality & Diversity Action plan alongside colleagues and the Equality Engagement Group with a primary focus of increasing equestrian participation in people from ethnically diverse communities. Designed a company wide operational plan and stakeholder management plan to give better oversight of the federation's progress against strategy, providing federation staff with greater understanding of how their roles contribute to the organisation's overall goals and to improve engagement with key stakeholders including member bodies of the federation.
