  In November 2014 we join 150 countries worldwide to celebrate a week long activities. In the lead up to this week we are preparing a schedule of events, aligning partners, sponsors, entrepreneurs as mentors and Government. For one week, millions of young people around the world join a growing movement of entrepreneurial people, to generate new ideas and to seek better ways of doing things. Countries across six continents come together to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity, to think big and to turn their ideas into reality.On November 14th-19th annually, Global Entrepreneurship Week connects people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Through GEW Ireland, the next generation of Irish entrepreneurs can emerge and be recognised on the global stage. In doing so, they will begin to acquire the knowledge, skills and networks needed to grow innovative, sustainable enterprises that have a positive impact on their lives, their families and communities.It is through collaboration and working together that we can make this initiative a success for Ireland, bringing about sustained growth and long term employment through education and self empowerment. This annual initiative will benefit Ireland’s economy by enabling entrepreneurship to play a more important role as a driver of long term economic success and a means of enabling young citizens the opportunity to become economically independent and contribute to their communities.
