I enjoy working with Davida because of the deep passion, commitment, and innovation she brings to any project of which she is a part. I learn constantly from her and she inspires my work in pursuing equity through education. Davida brings a deep well of knowledge, experience, and love to her work that informs how she shows up as a leader, mentor, and colleague. I am fortunate to work with Davida in a variety of arenas at Pierce College all centered around students. Davida centers students while keeping an eye on the development and well-being of her colleagues. She approaches equity work collaboratively, critically, and sustainably. Davida brings innovative, thoughtful ideas based on her education expertise that actively address the needs of students. I particularly enjoy working on long-range planning activities with Davida: she has a keen sense of the big picture but also understands what short term actions need to take place to create better experiences and opportunities for all in the education system.
