Role: Claims Controller - Cross Border Claims Previous Roles: Senior Operations Executive, Operations Executive, & Claims Analyst As a Claims controller was responsible for managing our external claim handlers. As Euro Insurances is based solely in Dublin they outsource their claims handling to a local supplier in each country where they Insure vehicles. My role was to manage these claims handlers in the countries for which I was responsible for. I was responsible for numerous countries which included the largest country (in terms of number of vehicles insured and volume of claims). On average I would travel once a month to visit a claim handler and complete a performance review. I also provided assistance and back up to other members of the claims team. I was also responsible for all Cross Border (4th Directive & Green Card) claims. I completed a business case for this project and this was approved by the company board as I could show significant annual savings and other advantages to the business. Responsibilities: • I manage the day to day relationship with the local claim handlers and also travel over to their offices to do on site reviews and discuss any issues on either side in order to maintain a certain level of claim handling and relationship. I would also advise and direct them for more complex or larger value claims in terms of claim strategy. • Complete reports and recommend any action points or changes that are required and ensure these changes are implemented. • Manage all 4th Directive & Green Card claims. Achievements: • Promoted 3 times within 3 years • Written and developed some excel based analysis calculations. • Involved in testing and developing new invoicing software for the company. • Developed and implemented a large project to Insource all Cross border claims.
