      My current job responsibilities in the Closure Branch of NDEP-BMRR are to protect the Waters of the State of Nevada (WOTS). This is accomplished by working with mining company environmental personnel at various stages of mine operations to ensure that the quality of all WOTS are not at risk to degradation from mining activities. A large percentage of that responsibility involves reviewing of quarterly, semi-annual and annual water quality monitoring and sampling reports. Other major responsibilities of the job include the review, development and writing of Water Pollution Control Permits review, approval of various Mine Closure Plans and field site inspections.

Direct on-site drilling, installation and abandonment of groundwater monitoring wells, conducted lithologic logging and sampling programs for determination of sub-surface hydrocarbon contamination plumes.
