  Every Wednesday night I host open mic nights at Las Vetas lounge, a local coffee shop that has been open for over 11 years. I work with different musicians and other performers and make sure they have everything they need to play their time slot for the night. I also set up for each performer and introduce everyone before they go up to play and act as the face of open mic nights.   As an assistant store manager I have a lot of responsibilities that range anywhere from everyday tasks and operations, all the way down to coaching and training other employees. While on shift, I am responsible for helping customers, and using my problem solving, and customer service skills to get them everything they need. I also handle a multitude of operational tasks, like opening and closing the store, setting up marketing, writing the weekly schedule and much more.   At Music & Arts, I first started off as a seasonal employee and eventually worked my way up to an adult part time key holder. This was a sales oriented job, and I was required to meet a monthly sales goal. I was also responsible for opening and closing the store on my own, helping to maintain the stores music lesson program as well as having good enough product knowledge on all of our stock to appropriately suggest musicians with the instrument that suited them best.
