  6-months research project conducted within the Laboratory for Applied Circular Economy (LACE) framework. The project examines the implementation of carbon capture and utilization strategies at a local beer manufacturing plant to demonstrate that sustainable management in the form of a circular economy can be ecologically beneficial and profitable for Swiss companies.The project is funded by the National Research Programme "Sustainable Economy: resource-friendly, future-oriented, innovative" (NRP 73), a programme which aims to generate scientific knowledge about a sustainable economy that uses natural resources sparingly, creates welfare and increases the competitiveness of the Swiss economy.

The project involved the reduction of carbon dioxide using boron doped diamond (BDD) electrodes. A theoretical model describing transport phenomena was developed and its accuracy experimentally assessed
