General Manager of Waterfront Suites Paihia, 30 luxury 4.5 star Suites (54 rooms) and also the Northland Area Manager for Tourismflair Hotels & Resorts. My area responsibilities are Russell Cottages (16 luxury, 5 star cottages) & Sea Spray Suites Paihia (4 star, 30 suites) planned opening December 2006. My role was to manage the opening of Russell Cottages (16 luxury, 5 star cottages) • This involved sourcing & training of staff, employment contracts, • Development of a staff hand book, installing a computer system, setting yield conditions & rates, contracts for travel agents/wholesalers. • Develop a sale & marketing plan along with a budget which would meet the owners and investor’s requirements and vision. • Develop the Tourismflair brand name in Northland and New Zealand, via making sure we had full appointment calendar for TRENZ 2006 with key international wholesale agents. Branding also involve developing the Tourismflair webpage and individual property web pages, brochures & local sponsorship of key events and organizations. I also oversaw the full FFE installation at Waterfront Suites Paihia, again I was involved in all aspects of pre opening hotel, employment, training, sourcing suppliers, working with the local tourism body. I was also responsible for the day to day running of the hotel and reporting back all the financial results to the head office and the owners of the suites. My last project was to oversee the opening of Sea Spray Suites (30 Suites, 4 star) in December 2006, this has involved sourcing managers, setting budgets for 2006 & 2007, Sales & Marketing plan, installing FFE in all rooms and also a small commercial kitchen and breakfast room.
