Dave was a great boss to work with! He cut through the bureaucracy and got the job done! I appreciate all I learned from Dave and hope to be a good as a manager as he is.

Tom LeBeau

I have had the privilege of both working for Dave while he was the Sr. Project Manager for Herzog in South Florida prior to him moving on to become the Herzog Deputy Division Manager. Furthermore he subsequently worked for me as a contractor when Herzog Contracting Corp. was contracted to build the DCTA A-train Commuter Rail System. The A-train program was one of the most difficult programs to build momentum during construction and Dave’s direct leadership resulted in the resolution of multiple design and construction related issues. It was under his leadership that he and I were able to negotiate a difficult global contract modification, which resulted in the successful ability to keep the project under the project budget despite design and right-of-way access delays to the project. He lead his team through and extensive value engineering exercise with the DCTA design and Program Management Team that created more than $30M in project construction savings. It is with the Dave’s leadership and belief in partnering with the client that the A-train Commuter Rail system has become the second commuter rail success story in North Texas and the most recent successful start-up system in the US. If you are looking for a leader that desires the best interest of all parties involved in your capital program Dave Mazzo is a person who can do the job and he comes with my highest recommendation.
