While working with eventEQ during the years prior to 2011's National Book Festival, I'd had only a limited and occasional role in supporting David's projects; after spending eight days in rain and shine on the National Mall with his team, I can wholeheartedly recommend their work! Three elements of Decibel's work made the Festival a remarkable operational success, and a memorable and educational experience for those involved in creating it: - Their thorough grasp of the BIG picture - and it was quite large, nearly 7 tourist-thronged city blocks in the center of DC - and beyond grasping it, they.... - ...Chased down, cornered, captured and then planned-into-submission every minute detail of the larger picture - and for the few details that couldn't be predicted, were plenty quick-on-the-draw with a contingency plan.... - ...That David's entire Decibel team efficiently communicated to, and organized, with at least a dozen teams of subcontractors. (who were mostly able to avoid bickering over who-stole-who's golf-cart for most of the week.....)
