David was my line manager for several years, he provided me with the focus and guidance that enabled me to progress in my role and career. He was a supportive line manager who brought out the best in me, I found David easy to work with and have great respect for him.

I worked with David when I provided technical safety support to assist him to respond to Supporting People Funding Authorities. In general, this was for the more challenging situations, particularly where the SPFA had misinterpreted safety legislation and then copied this error into their QAF assessments. I found David to be a personable and approachable person, who made an effort to make me feel like a part of the team. He was able to quickly grasp the technical guidance I provided, and ask relevant questions to make sure he would be able to produce coherent responses to external stake-holders. David was working in a contract role with Hanover, but quickly adapted to the company's approach and structures.

I was a front line worker responsible for delivering housing related support to 33 single homeless people in central London. The service was funded via the Rough Sleepers' Initiative and I was involved in setting the hostel up from scratch. I had specific responsibility for providing a comprehensive support package to 5 residents and to ensuring that the hostel ran well on a day to day basis. Residents varied in support needs, and I was able to experience providing support to those with alcohol and other substance dependance, mental health issues and other manifestations of challenging behaviour, and with Kurdish refugees suffering from PTSD. Part of our focus was in securing resettlement options for all residents as the project was short term funded. Show less
