CIS Program Director/Faculty in Business and Information Technologies Department. Completed four years at GateWay as CIS Program Director and Faculty. During that three years have also had the responsibility for liaison to Year Up program on behalf of GateWay where responsibilities including scheduling the courses for the Year Up program at the Central City campus, assisting with enrollment issues for Year Up students, working with Program Managers to make sure students are getting the support they need from both GateWay and Year Up. Came to GateWay Community College from both Peoria Unified School District and Glendale Community College. Holds a Master of Science in Computer Information Science and 24 additional graduate and upper division credits earned in Mathematics, in addition to a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Chemistry. Have eleven years of experience as an adjunct faculty at Glendale Community College teaching Computer Science and Mathematics courses and ten years as full time faculty in the Peoria Unified School District at Ironwood High School teaching Information Technology and Mathematics. Working in both the Peoria Unified School District and at Glendale Community College has provided me with many opportunities to work with diverse faculty and students from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. Previously worked in the computer industry as a Computer Engineer at Bull Information Systems, AG Communication Systems, and a Manager of Firmware Engineering at Motorola Computer Group with a total of 22 years of Software Development Experience.
