David worked closely with me for 3 years and was an excellent Finance Director. Providing the right balance of support and challenge. Apart from solid finance/accounting for the business, he brought a strong commercial ethos and awareness to the Business Unit Board and helped us in delivering record revenue and profit growth. David had a major part in the integration of 4 acquired businesses, actively working with each MD to gain a thorough understanding of each business, and then developing commercial and efficiency opportunities to drive profitability. A great team player, well-liked by his own and by my wider commercial team. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I worked for David at Royal Mail for a year as Maternity cover for the senior finance business partner within the technology function. This was a new industry and area for me and I had limited hand over time. David was a very supportive manager, helped me to settle in to the role and get to know the team. I really appreciated his help in managing some very demanding business partners and stakeholders, ensuring that I had his support in key meetings and presentations. I have always found working with a manager who has my back frees me up to focus on my role and deliver my best work. This is something that David did for me and I’m sure would do again in any role he took on.
