  I am a CPR Instructor allowed to teach brand new and refresher type courses of BLS for the health care professional. I take classes when I can to help myself perfect the art of instructing and to allow myself to be the best instructor I can be.

  Currently I am a state lisenced level I Instructor for Moraine Park Technical college. This past summer I was offered a position to co-teach and EMT class. My responsibilities as a co-instructor was to lead and facilitate learning of EMT state curriculum, and to make sure each student was successful in their endeavors. I helped the students prepare for a National Registry written and practical examination where each student had to prove they knew the curriculum. Currently I am focused on school and i have it worked out with the school to start taking classes once I'm done with my studies. Show less

  I am affiliated with Moraine Park to be a NREMT practical evaluator. I am assigned to one of the 6 stations that EMT basics test takers have to do before they can be state licensed. The 6 stations are CPR/AED, Spinal immobilization sitting/supine, non visualized airway placement, medical assessment, trauma assessment, and long bone traction/shoulder splinting/ Pro splinting.

  I volunteered to help co-teach/student teach three EMS classes. Two classes were EMT basic classes and the other was an Advanced EMT class. My responsibilities included helping facilitate and leading the students through the state required curriculum and preparing them to pass a national written and practical test.

  I Currently work as a Paramedic for Lifestar LLC in West Bend Wisconsin. I normally am stationed at our station in west bend, which concentrates on inter-facility transports; or I am stationed in Slinger where we do inter-facilities or prehospital/911 coverage of an assigned area. Some common skill I perform 12 lead assessments and interpretations, starting IVs and administering IV fluids with medication, manually controlling someones airway, intubating, splinting, managing bleeding, and deciding where a patient will receive the best care possible if they cannot make a decision.
