Hillel Rio was established to address the educational, professional, cultural, and social needs of Rio de Janeiro's underserved young Jewish adult population and the wider community. As a founding director I have been deeply involved since the beginning. Our programming engages over 60% of our target demographic on an annual basis, reaching more than 2500 young adults per year.I Instituted best BOD norms and practices for fundraising responsibilities, programming oversight,and board interactions with staff.I nurtured and developed Hillel Rio’s social justice initiatives, producing over 500 community volunteers serving thousands of at-risk citizens throughout Rio de Janeiro.
