Dave is one of the first people that comes to mind when I think about great managers. He's compassionate and empathic, good at keeping a team's morale high while also on track and delivering results. He looks after his team, extends trust, and makes sure everyone's working towards the same goal. Dave is an excellent communicator, and a skilled engineer who's able to dig deeply into technical problems and solutions. I'd jump at a chance to work with him again!

I've worked with Dave for the past few months as his direct report. I've always felt comfortable in our one-to-ones and can bring up any topic. He took over a merged team at a difficult time and brought the two halves together, empowering us to make decisions on the best team processes. Dave is an excellent manager, lead and engineer. He asks good questions and has represented us well with our stakeholders and with other senior team leads.
