  Writing for The Daily Mississippian began as an outlet for me to write about current issues that many Americans and college students face throughout difficult times. Through some of my articles discussing the Mississippi TANF scandal, legal deserts in Mississippi, and breast cancer's affect on families I was fortunate enough to be ranked 5th in opinion writing by the Southeast Journalism Conference.
