Achievements: • Worked closely with regulators, the Cabinet and Welsh Government to reprioritise strategic objectives and deliver immediate improvement in case management, case flow and service delivery.• Implemented a new operating model for corporate services, including a refreshed directorate focus and the introduction of new systems, which reduced costs by 20% and significantly boosted performance. • Undertook a review of scrutiny arrangements, encompassing the Audit & Governance Committee, which led to the introduction of a more robust risk management approach at board-level. • Worked closely with Cabinet to develop a 2025 corporate vision that influenced policymaking• Appointed to Welsh Government’s Advisory Panel on Local Government Finance• Made the business case to win executive buy-in from the Cabinet and Council to adjust the 2018/19 draft budget with additional resources and capacity for social services Show less
