Driv Incorporated is the UK sales and distribution business for a range of branded motor parts such as Champion, Monroe, Ferodo and Moog. With an annual turnover in the region of £26m the company is part of the US listed automotive company Tenneco Inc. I am responsible for the day to day management of a finance department which includes one local accounts assistant and assistance from a Bucharest based shared service centre. I prepare and submit monthly and quarterly management information packs and commentaries to both local and overseas management as well as performing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. I work with the Management team to prepare and submit annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts. Other duties include supporting and deputising for the UK financial controller, representing the finance department at various meetings including HR forums, product pricing and sales forecast meetings. I also support the HR function to prepare the monthly payroll and associated reports. A significant part of my time is spent on reviewing and maintaining the internal procedures documentation for regulatory purposes and managing both internal and external audits. Show less

As part of the Groups funding arrangements, I prepared and submitted multi-currency monthly stock, cash and debtors reconciliations to the organisations funding providers. Initially, I was employed on a contract basis to support the company’s financial controller whilst he managed the implementation of a replacement, fully integrated, management information, HR and financial information system. Day to day duties included the management of a small team of two transactional staff over two sites, which prepared and presented monthly management accounts and a comprehensive management information pack. I became more and more involved in the implementation project and extended my contract so that I could help develop the new system and complete a number of ad-hoc projects as well as taking on the monument of the organisation’s annual audit.
