  GDUK is a world leading prime contractor and systems integrator in the field of vehicle communications and military vehicle design projects. I joined GDUK to lead the installation and mechanical engineering teams performing the integration of Bowman communication and electronic counter measure systems (C4I, ECM and EECM), into 15000+ MoD tracked and wheeled platforms, with an initial contract value of £2.5 Billion. In 2010 GDUK was also selected as prime contractor for delivery of the Specialist Vehicle program (previously FRES) to the UK MoD, with a total contract value in excess of £500 million. I am SC cleared and manage the mechanical design team members across multiple sites to execute all aspects of the 4 different SV platform designs, including internal and sub-contracted work packages, armour and ballistic crew protection, blast and structural analysis using Ansys and Pro-Mechanica FEA tools, chairing internal and customer reviews, design release and approval, resource planning, engineering team recruitment, functional staff objective setting, training needs, capital expenditure, hardware/software requisitions and ensuring team adherance to Military, British Standards and company procedures.
