Edit, write stories, design pages, assign stories for a twice-weekly newspaper in central Nebraska.Help train staff who have little journalism experience, helping them to reach a level of making the newspaper competitive with other papers its size.Help gather stories and laying out special sections for the newspaper including the Dawson County Relay for Life special section, salute to World War II veterans prior to their Hero Flight, and writing the foreword to “Lexington: Pieces of the Past,” which chronicled the history of Lexington, NE.Met deadlines. Was in charge of posting news stories, covering high school sports, and wrote a weekly political column. Taught myself how to use a Nikon D50 camera.
