Achievements: • Development of the fix equipment system summaries for the Pluto and Karratha Gas Plants and the North West Shelf’s platforms. The purpose of the system (e.g. raw gas, acid gas removal, water systems etc.) summaries are to encapsulate the current status of fixed equipment (vessels and piping circuits) integrity, validity of damage mechanisms, the status and validity of inspection activities and the development of integrity operating windows. Included extensive use of SAP MMS and Bentley Systems IDMS. • Welding support for Brownfield fabrication projects. • Welding support for the Scarborough and Pluto LNG Plant Train 2 Major Capital Projects. • Development of Microbial Induced Corrosion Management Plans for NWS Platforms and LNG Plants (KGP, Pluto). • Annual review of Safety Critical systems for OCHA FPSO, Pluto A Platform and Pluto LNG facility.

  As a metallurgist responsible for mitigation of materials degradation issues in a fully integrated iron and steel plant (coke ovens, gas processing, iron, steel and finishing mills). My duties included plant condition inspections, asset fabrication inspection (Quality Assurance / Quality Control), material specifications and recommendations and overseeing corrosion mitigation contracts. I was also involved with new steel development projects particularly in the areas of linepipe (gas, acid and slurry transmission), pressure vessel HIC steels and start-up of facility electrochemical/corrosion laboratory. I was also a customer service focal point for materials related matters and consulted to BHP customers on steel products. I also acted as an external consultant for various companies (e.g. Shell, Sydney Waters, BHP Collieries, etc.) on BHP’s behalf.
