The e-commerce department handles all donated goods throughout Los Angeles County where the staff determines which goods are deemed valuable to list on our auction site, shopgoodwill.com. We also list certain items on EBay, Newegg, Amazon.com, Etsy, Rakuten, and Sears. Items include jewelry, clothes, toys, and multimedia like autographed & popular books, DVDs/Blu-ray, CDs, vinyl records, and laserdiscs. Most of our products listed there are either new or have limited wear issues. As lead (with two others) we supervise a staff of twelve to sixteen people, along with placing high emphasis on customer service, which is designed to negate the perceived downsides of e-commerce: limited customer service, consumers not being able to see or touch a product prior to purchase, and the necessary wait time for products to ship. Also have some working knowledge of Channel Advisor, Ship Station as well as learning Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process, along with learning new marketing tools such as Google Analytics and Google AdWords.
