      I have been providing expert advisory, policy guidance and solutions to executives, teams and team leaders, of several international organizations and their Government partners, in areas such as Innovative and emerging technologies, Business analytics and data visualization, Management Information and Knowledge management Systems, and IT Services Management. I have also managed several projects relating to ICT infrastructure upgrades and software development. The key projects that have worked on include: 1. 04/- 08/2020: Designed and developed the front and back ends (full stack) of the United Nations (UN) COVID-19 Response Website to report the findings of the UN Rapid Needs Assessment of the socioeconomic impacts of Covid-19 in South Africa. The website also embeds a KPI Dashboard to monitor the Accountability and Coordination framework of the UN Response and Recovery Plan. 2. 09/2018-12/2019: Provided leadership, technical advice and support to UNICEF South Africa in the design and implementation of Innovative technology initiatives and managed all Project Management activities, stakeholders, communications, milestones, timelines, risks and on time delivery of results under tight deadlines. 3. 03/2015-06/2015: Systems design and development of a Management Information System to assist the UN Country Team to plan, monitor and track KPIs, results, and outcomes of the UN Deliver-as-One programme. 4. 11/2014-01/2015: Systems design and development of the UNDP RSCA Service Tracker System to align with the programmatic priorities and reporting requirements for the 2014-2017 UNDP Corporate Strategic Plan. 5. 06-09/2014: Provided ICT project management and technical support for the implementation of Cisco Unified Communications system at UN House in Lesotho.       The ICT Engineer worked with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to modernize the Bureau of Customs and Excise’s Operations through the implementation of the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA). The ICT Engineer provided ICT expertise to the stakeholders during the installation and deployment of Data and Network systems for the rollout of the Customs Administration system (ASYCUDA) across the country. Liaised with stakeholders in the MoF to develop business requirements for the project rollout in all the sites, including the scope, work plans, deliverables, risks, schedules, and budgets. 2. Completed requirements analysis, designed detailed system and functional specifications for LAN/WAN internetworking, and supported the sourcing of competent service providers for the procurement of hardware/software and telecommunications services. 3. Supervised the installation, roll-out and commissioning of an integrated and reliable Telecommunications network, composed of a combination of Microwave (E1) lines and VSAT Telecommunication links, to border and port facilities across Liberia, thus extending access to ASYCUDA to remote sites. 4. Managed all the interrelated technology projects and planned, designed, tested and coordinated the implementation of the migration phases of the project and monitored progress to meet deadlines, standards and cost targets. 5. Managed the ICT Infrastructure Budget (US$1.5M) ensuring value for money for project resources and procurement costs by leveraging on cost savings opportunities. 6. Organized and facilitated the capacity development for National counterparts, through professional trainings and transfer of knowledge and experiences for network operations centre management and proactive server monitoring and maintenance. Provided emergency response and recovery support towards the recovery and operation of ICT infrastructure services, to Country Offices’ in Comoros, Sierra Leone and Liberia following the civil unrest and natural disasters. 5. Performed business process re-engineering activities, Systems Analysis, Systems Design and Systems development and implementation of new business applications for Asset Management and movement control, Contracts Management, Travel management, etc. Show less
