David has continuously grown as a 3d Character Artist while displaying the passion and determination it takes to succeed in entertainment art. In the many hours we have sculpted together, he has gone above and beyond to learn new skills and software, sharpening the metaphorical blade that represents the ambition and work of a life-long Artist. When challenges have presented themselves in his creations, he has risen to the task of finding solutions, implementing feedback with gusto, and doing an extensive amount of research along the way. His drive to create worlds, and the beings within them is inspiring, reminding me often of the spark that I feel when opening Maya or Zbrush, imagining the possibilities of what digital creations will come to life within that blank canvas we call the viewport. I have mentored David on his journey, and in that time, have seen him excel and breathe life into his characters, while also witnessing the strong character that he himself represents. He is approachable and kind, responds well to critique, and is eager to learn new techniques while continuously building upon his already strong skill set. David will go above and beyond to push any asset to the next level, and would be a valuable member to any team. I know he will continue to make his mark in the world of 3d, and I am excited to see where this journey will take him next!
