I have just completed my thesis titled "Combustion of novel and low-grade biomass fuels on small-scale systems: Potential and optimisation through pre-treatment." I have presented my research at prestigious bioenergy conferences such as ECCRIA, EUBCE and CERA and I have also authored two publications. Prior to this I completed my degree in chemical engineering also at the University of Leeds. I have always been focused on optimisation and waste reduction of processes. My philosophy on how we transition from now to a more sustainable future is not only through a transition to alternative energy and material resources but also focusing on achieving higher process efficiencies and eliminating our waste culture.
