  Reading Partners is a national education nonprofit dedicated to improving students’ reading skills by working in Title I elementary schools to support students from low-income communities who are reading 6 months to 2.5 years below grade-level. As the Executive Director of Public Policy, I oversee our work with policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels with a focus on closing the achievement gap to further education equality through strong, evidence-based early literacy and K-5 reading programs, fully-funding public education and after school programs, and building school and community partnerships to support public education.
