Responsibilities- Ability to work with AutoCAD.- Able to use AutoCAD to repair physical plans.- Ability to work with blue prints.Achievements:- Created a new archival system where construction plans and documents can be stored and retrieved digitally. A physical storage system was to be designed and implemented to store the 7000+ construction plans and 16,000+ construction documents. - Designed a 600 sq ft area to be built to houses all of the physical documents in 40 storage cabinets. - After 3 months of reorganizing the physical documents, the physical system was mapped into a digital format. Computer archival system (Adept) aided the sorting process. - Project took 5 months to plan and implement. Tagging files with the appropriate information required 3 months. Total cost of the project amounted to $32,000.00 split between, storage units, software, and licenses. - Usage of the application lacked participation, initially; however, picked up after shop personnel found it to be beneficial to everyday activities. Usage rose 50% after the first month; at any given time, 13 shop personnel will be utilizing the software pulling drawings and documents for review. Show less
