After four months my position was expanded to include project manager for the base-build phase of a very large plant retrofit and upgrade. I managed this challenging multi-phased project to completion on time and under budget. I managed the field engineers in structures, electrical, mechanical dry, mechanical wet, process piping, life safety, along with instrumentation and control each doing discipline specific contract administration with specific dealings in design, schedule, budget and contract issues. I was later asked to manage the document control staff and be the Quality Control and Quality Assurance coordinator for the largest single project to date on campus, fastest into production on the most advanced manufacturing facilities for Intel.
